When I was growing up, I’d visit my grandparents and very often meet other kids at their home. That’s because my grandparents were foster parents, who made a positive impact on the 200 kids they cared for over the course of many years.
November is National Orphan Awareness Month—a time to remember all young people who lack the support of loving families. TRG Marketing has been proud to support The World Orphan Fund. Based in Wisconsin but working around the globe, this charity has been especially active this year in Ukraine.
As we near Thanksgiving, I am proud of how the people of TRG are making a difference. I think about Aileen Smith, who just returned from a leadership meeting of AFS, which helps foreign students in the U.S. And Mike Shefky, who devotes countless hours coaching soccer and basketball. And Jacob Werre, who teaches catechism to high schoolers. And Julie Gaier, who has managed the Sussex-Hamilton Football team meal every Wednesday for months.
I could reflect on every single person here but will pause to simply say how proud I am of our team. They serve clients really well—while also serving the broader community with both heart and mind.
We wish everyone out there the best for the upcoming holiday season.
