GenComm is a leader in public safety systems, two-way radios, and vehicle upfitting, with more than 60 employees and five locations serving Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. GenComm is family owned and operated, with locations in Madison, Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Wisconsin Rapids, and Johnsburg, Illinois.

CHALLENGE

GenComm reached out to TRG Marketing looking for a different way to handle their marketing. They had needs ranging from website management to e-newsletter marketing to marketing strategy. GenComm’s leadership team wanted to focus on their operations and not worry about marketing. They also realized there were a number of gaps in their marketing strategy that needed attention.

SOLUTION

TRG became the “marketing department” for GenComm, first developing their marketing strategy and plan, and then executing on the various related tactics. Today, TRG manages the GenComm website, writes monthly blogs, manages their social media, manages digital ads, sends out e-newsletters and e-alerts, and helps update and create collateral.

RESULTS

GenComm now approaches the marketplace in a consistent and professional manner. TRG has helped them navigate communications through acquisitions and a rebranding/rename. GenComm has grown from three locations to five locations and has landed some of the largest “deals” in their history.
