TRG Marketing Seeking a Front-End Website Developer

Introduction

TRG Marketing helps organizations succeed by executing practical, results-driven marketing plans through website development, ecommerce, email marketing, social media, digital advertising, brand strategy and design, and more. Founded in 2004, we work with dozens of interesting and friendly clients—primarily small-to-medium sized B2B organizations.

Our team is seasoned and our organization is people-first. We believe work should be fulfilling, support families (not strain them), and reflect the Golden Rule. We value humility, service, and a collaborative, no-ego approach.

About the Position

We seek a Front-End Website Developer to support TRG staff and an expanding roster of website clients. A friendly face, servant heart, and humble spirit are essential. The right candidate is responsible, well-organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects while staying on top of details.

This role is ideal for someone who solves problems without waiting to be asked—someone who sees an issue, diagnoses it, and fixes it proactively. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are important for writing clean code, identifying errors, and preventing issues before websites go live.

This position is responsible for building new sites and maintaining the operation and functionality of already-built websites. Demonstrated website development experience is required, especially in WordPress. Specific requirements include:

  • Building websites, especially in WordPress, often utilizing page builders provided by themes such as WPBakery, Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi, etc.
  • Expertise in HTML and CSS; working knowledge of JavaScript and PHP
  • Optimizing web pages for speed, scalability, and performance
  • Maintaining client websites to run correctly and securely (updates, monitoring, best practices)
  • Ensuring web designs are mobile-optimized and user-friendly
  • Monitoring site performance via Google Analytics and providing reports
  • Knowledge and execution of SEO and GEO best practices (technical SEO, on-page fundamentals, site structure, metadata, schema awareness, etc.)
  • Implementing Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and related platforms
  • Knowledge regarding implementing code for digital ads tracking, email domain verification, etc.
  • Understanding the backend infrastructure that supports websites—including domain providers, DNS, hosting environments, and how they interact (and how to troubleshoot when they don’t)
  • Conducting website audits as needed (technical checks, performance, SEO/GEO fundamentals, accessibility/UX basics, plugin/theme health, security posture), and providing clear recommendations and next steps
  • Participating in client meetings as needed—joining calls to gather requirements, explain technical recommendations in plain language, and ensure strong alignment between strategy, design, and development
  • Deploying graphic design applications like Photoshop as required, but also knowing when to rely on the expertise of our in-house graphic designer
    • Nice to have: experience with audio/video editing
  • Nice-to-have: interest or experience with ecommerce and CRM platforms (e.g., WooCommerce/Shopify and common CRM/marketing platforms), including how websites integrate with them and how data flows across systems
  • Performing related administrative duties and timekeeping
  • Align work schedule to support billable goals and provide reliable, timely service to clients

We are seeking a candidate with the following attributes:

  • A proactive problem solver
  • Independent and self-directed
  • Responsible and detail-oriented
  • Able to collaborate without needing hand-holding
  • Comfortable with being in the office at least some of the time
  • Servant-hearted and humble

This position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) but, for the right candidate, could be adjusted to a part-time position. It offers three weeks/year of paid vacation. Salary is dependent upon experience. To express interest, contact Jacob Werre at jacob@TRG-Marketing.com.
